Role: Founder — brand strategy, identity, and collateral.
The brief
(and the client was me)
Lounge & Lead is a dog training and boarding studio I founded in Monmouth County, New Jersey — and the only client on this site who also happens to be me. The name carries the whole model in two words: lounge for the calm, at-home boarding experience, and lead for the training work — and the leash itself. The identity had to hold both sides at once: warm and personal enough that it feels like leaving your dog with a friend, structured and credible enough to stand up as a professional service. Designing for my own business meant I could build the brand around the actual experience a client has, not an assumption about it.
The studio's resident dog — my Cavalier, Lucky — is the reason I moved into training in the first place, which is why the brand is built around real dogs and a real home rather than stock-photo polish.
The identity
I built a system, not just a logo — one that works as small as a bandana tag and as functional as a report card. Friendly, rounded iconography; a warm but grounded palette; type clear enough for both Instagram and printed handouts. It carries across every touchpoint a client holds — bandanas, treat pouches, report cards, business cards — so the brand stays consistent from feed to leash.
